Wastewater treatment

There are three main objectives of wastewater treatment processes: to separate the solids fraction from the carrier water, remove harmful contaminants, and maximize reuse. The majority of the sewage we generate is made up of carrier water, but only about 0.1% is solids. In many cases, wastewater treatment is sufficient to treat the water and keep it clean. However, sometimes a secondary treatment is required to remove the contaminants that were not removed by primary treatment. Here's a look at the different types of wastewater treatment. Industrial  wastewaters treatment  are generally more complex and soluble than municipal wastewaters, and their retention time will need to be longer than municipal wastewaters. Retention times can range from hours to days, and they must be determined by treating the wastewater. In addition, temperature is an important consideration, which may significantly affect the retention time. If the wastewater is expected to be released directl...
