What is Industrial Water Treatment Systems
Industrial water treatment systems can be used in many different kinds of industries. Some products require ultra-pure water, whereas others require more basic levels of treatment. In both cases, the final product is treated to remove harmful bacteria and toxins. In addition, many industries use deionized water as a critical ingredient in their processes. The process also eliminates dissolved gases and other contaminants, extending boiler and system life and reducing maintenance costs.
Some
industrial wastewater treatment systems may use one or more of the following
processes: electro-coagulation flocculation, carbon filtration, and reverse
osmosis. In both these methods, free metal ions are released into the water and
neutralize them. In some cases, a closed-loop system may be used for the
treatment process. For instance, if you use the wastewater in a
pressure-washing operation, the contaminated water is reused for this purpose.
Industrial
water treatment systems are highly versatile and can be customized to meet
specific needs. The type of product being manufactured and the raw water
quality will determine the type of water treatment system required. The
solution used will depend on the purity level of the water, and ultrapure water
for semiconductor manufacturing will have different requirements than
wastewater treatment for pulp & paper manufacturing. Most industrial water
treatment systems use membranes to remove impurities. These systems are more
advanced than municipal alternatives, with greater variability and higher
concentrations.
